That they paid attention to even the smallest detail. They wanted to make sure that your stay was as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and that you would want to stay there again when you visted New York again. I also liked that you were just steps away from your room to the restaurant/bar via elevator. You could have practicaly visited in your pajamas and slippers for a few beers if you wanted to. I will recommend this place to as many people as possible.

The hotel has a different look than other standard hotel. The design matches the name of the hotel. The room is spacious, nicely designed as both romantic and modern. The free breakfast has great French coffee and nice staff service. The proximity to Times Square and other activities are great.
Early the first morning when coming down for breast, we encountered the manager yelling at some soft-spoken female customer. I don't know what the issue was, but the yelling kind of put us off. I think they should be nicer with all customers. We also didn't get a "thank you" when checking out. It was just " ok, that's all set" We are Californians and are used to Vegas hotel treatments, where they say "thank you" at every turn.

We have come to understand that in New York you often have to pay much for nothing, when your staying in hotel. But The French Quaters are a big exeption! Compaired to the other hotels we stayed at in NY this was outstanding. This one will give you value for your money in a whole different way. We stayed in a junior suite, the funiture had a good standard, nicely decorated and clean room. The staff were very friendly (in a natural and honest way), and they were very serviceminded. The room hade it´s windows towards the "backyard", so there were no noise from the street. There are many great resturants just outside the door, and shopping just around the corner. If we ever visit NYC again this hotel will be our first choise...

The room was charming and lovely with a balcony overlooking a lively street scene. In spite of all the activity in the street below, the room was quiet, nor were there any hallway or neighboring room sounds. The location was excellent. This block is called restaurant row, and there were many dining options along with live entertainment within steps of the hotel. The theater district was within a few block walking distance. Continental breakfast was included and available on the second floor indoor patio space which adjoins the New Orleans style restaurant on street level. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends. The location, the staff, and the room itself were all perfect!
Breakfast ends at 9:00, so we felt rushed in the morning if we wanted to take advantage of it. This is fine for business people, but did not suit our purpose of a relaxed few days off the clock.

The location was fantastic - very close to Times Square without all the crowds. It was also in a street called restaurant row - we ate four of the five nights in the street and were spoilt for choice for restaurants. The staff could not have been more helpful.
-
The staff - fantastic Coffee maker and complementary coffee/tea in room Location Nice, originally designed room large bathroom nice continental breakfast pleasant atmosphere
breakfast is served only till 9:00; should be available till later check-out time: 11:00 - too early

Good price for New York Received complimentary upgrade to larger room Great location in Midtown Complimentary continental breakfast was very good
Our room was situated above the bar which was very noisy on Saturday night. The hotel did warn us about this in advance.

I loved the staff, especially Colin the manager who welcomed me personally and was extremely knowledgable, personable and helpful. The location was terrific on a lovely street with fabulous restaurants and the room was large and comfortable, nicely appointed and immaculate. Lovely touches such as a coat rack, umbrella, occitane toiletries. I will return again and again. Diane
I liked everything about it.

Everything was great including the GM, Cullen and his staff. The location is hard to beat as we were about a block from Times Square but on a nice quiet street. The street is loaded with restaurants and trees. The hotel itself is very unique with its Bourbon Street look. The room was very nice and the beds very comfortable. Bathroom was plenty big enough and very clean with a very nice walk-in shower. Flat TV screen. In room safe. We stayed at the Sofitel last visit, which really liked, but The French Quarters will be our hotel in NYC from now on.

The French Quarters Guest Apartments was a wonderful suprise! I was tired of staying in large overcrowded hotels in the city and found this to be truly a gem. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable and clean, and the small touches like the morning paper, internet connection and coffee were lovely additions that made for a great stay!
